Origin Story

Originating from Mapuche folklore as a shapeshifting fox-serpent that drowned victims in Chilean rivers, this cryptid was recruited by Captain Rasmussen after demonstrating uncanny ability to track prey through frozen waterways. Now adapted to Himalayan conditions, it uses its elongated, prehensile tail to test ice thickness and detect underwater caverns where the Yeti might dwell.

Properties

Possesses a fox-like body with serpentine elongation, webbed paws for ice navigation, and a prehensile tail tipped with sensory whiskers. Its fur contains hollow guard hairs that trap air for insulation, while specialized kidneys allow it to drink glacial meltwater. Most remarkably, it can detect vibrations in ice with its tail to locate hidden passages.

Role

Serves as the Frostbite Seekers' specialist for aquatic and glacial terrain, using its unique physiology to explore frozen lakes and underground waterways that might conceal Yeti evidence. It trains expedition members in ice safety while maintaining surveillance on high-altitude water sources.
