Origin Story

The Kitsune Keeper originated when a Japanese cryptid researcher joined forces with Rowan Oakwood after discovering parallel protection methods between kitsune lore and Sasquatch guardianship. Combining ancient Japanese fox spirit warding techniques with Pacific Northwest forest magic, they created a new form of mystical protection that confounds hunters through illusion and misdirection.

Properties

The Kitsune Keeper possesses shapeshifting abilities adapted from kitsune legends, allowing it to appear as various forest creatures to mislead intruders. It can create foxfire illusions to disorient hunters and leave false trails. The entity maintains nine protective wards representing the legendary nine tails of an elder kitsune, each containing different defensive enchantments.

Role

Serves as the Wildwood Guardians' specialist in illusion-based protection techniques, using adapted kitsune magic to create false evidence, misleading trails, and supernatural distractions that protect Sasquatch habitats from discovery while maintaining the forest's natural balance.
