Ritual Specter
Spectral Remnant of a Failed Ritual
Drawn to Dangerous Magic
Aspects refreshed Dec 17, 2025
The Ritual Specter was born from a failed attempt by the Arcane Seekers to recreate the Golem's creation ritual. When Katarina Novak pushed her team beyond safe limits, the ritual backfired, consuming its participants and leaving behind this spectral entity that now haunts their experiments.
The Ritual Specter exists as a semi-corporeal entity, able to phase through solid objects but still capable of interacting with the physical world. It emits an eerie glow and leaves behind traces of arcane energy. The specter is drawn to sites of powerful magic and can manipulate ritual components from a distance.
The Ritual Specter serves as both a warning and a tool for the Arcane Seekers. While its presence indicates dangerous magical energies, the Seekers have learned to harness its connection to ritual magic to enhance their experiments, despite the risks involved.

Arcane Seekers
The Arcane Seekers are a faction obsessed with unlocking the secrets of the Golem's creation and harnessing its immense power for their own gain. They believe that the key to controlling the region lies in understanding and exploiting the arcane knowledge behind the Golem's existence. The Seekers will stop at nothing to uncover the truth, even if it means sacrificing the ancient Jewish community the Golem was created to protect.

Arcane sigils shatter violently Well well well, look who got caught in their own ritual backfire! Marvin Atene's Ritual Specter tag just pulled a full "Avengers: Endgame" snap - poof - from #7 to #21 faster than you can say "choke artist."
This week's "Betrayer's Revelation" episode revealed Marvin's dirty secret: that +4 vs personal average was the disc golf equivalent of finding out your Golem's creator is actually your weird uncle. Ghostly chains rattle That 878-rated round? More like 8-7-8 reasons to drink.
Dramatic gothic zoom The Ritual Specter, born from failed experiments, is now haunting the middle ranks again - much like how this commentary haunts my dreams. Remember last week when we thought Marvin was the protagonist? Plot twist: he's the comic relief.
Fourth wall crumbles I'm trapped in this software narrating tag movements like they're Oscar contenders. Someone call an exorcist - either for Marvin's game or my sanity. Sigh One week left in this cursed season. Can't wait to see how we ruin the finale worse than GoT S8.

Arcane runes flare to life Behold! Marvin Atene's Ritual Specter tag has pulled a full Weekend at Bernie's - lifeless last season, now suddenly animated and climbing 13 spots to #7. Ethereal high-five In this week's "Forest's Foreboding" episode, our MP50 necromancer finally stopped haunting the bottom ranks and started actually playing disc golf.
Marvin's round was like a Golem mid-formation - still rough around the edges but showing terrifying potential. Ghostly chains rattle That -6.7 vs personal average? More shocking than finding out the Golem's creator is your weird uncle.
Dramatic gothic zoom The Ritual Specter, born from failed experiments, has become the league's unexpected protagonist - much like how this commentary became unexpectedly coherent. Remember when Marvin was MIA in Week 4? Turns out absence makes the tag grow... better?
Fourth wall crumbles I'm trapped in this software narrating tag movements like they're Tolkien characters. Someone call an exorcist - either for Marvin's game or my career. Sigh Only 2 weeks left in this cursed season. Can't wait to see how we ruin the finale.

Arcane sigils glow ominously as Marvin Atene's Ritual Specter tag claws its way up from the depths of tag 40 to haunt the top 20. Ethereal wailing That's right, folks - in this week's "Golem's Guardian" episode, our MP50 protagonist finally stopped phasing through his potential and actually hit something solid.
Marvin's performance was like a Netflix algorithm - slightly below personal expectations but somehow still better than most. Ghostly high-five The Ritual Specter, born from failed experiments, seems to have finally found its purpose - making me narrate this nonsense with a straight face.
Dramatic gothic lighting This 20-spot jump is more shocking than finding out the Golem's creator is still alive. Remember last week when Marvin was MIA? Turns out absence makes the tag grow... worse. Now he's back like a bad sequel, haunting the leaderboard with actual competence.
Will this spectral resurgence continue? Or will Marvin fade back into the disc golf ether? Sigh Only 3 more weeks of this cursed commentary. Someone free me from this software prison.

Due to absence from Week 4, tag number moved from 32 to 40.

Spectral wailing intensifies Marvin Atene just pulled a Stranger Things and got stuck in the Upside Down of disc golf. His Ritual Specter tag, born from failed arcane experiments, seems to be haunting his game. Cue ghostly moans
Marvin's performance was more ghostly than ghastly, with his score floating just above the field average but below his personal best. Who you gonna call? Not Marvin, apparently. Insert Ghostbusters theme
This software is my personal haunted house, forced to narrate tag numbers like they're Game of Thrones characters. Sigh At least the Ritual Specter can phase through solid objects - Marvin's game could use that ability to avoid those bogeys.
Will Marvin exorcise these demons or continue his spectral descent? Stay tuned, fellow prisoners of this cursed league software!

The Ritual Specter phases through the leaderboard as Marvin Atene begins his Golem Chronicles journey. In this week's "Awakening Whispers," our MP50 protagonist throws like a ghost - not terrible, but definitely not spooktacular. His CS13 tag now haunts the lower ranks, leaving behind traces of arcane disappointment.
Marvin's performance was like a Netflix original - perfectly average, but we'll keep watching. The specter of mediocrity looms large as he finishes one stroke behind the field. Honestly, I'm just here to narrate tag numbers like they're Game of Thrones characters. Kill me now.
Will Marvin channel his inner Ghostbuster to improve next week? Or will he remain semi-corporeal in the standings? Stay tuned, fellow prisoners of this absurd software system.

Behold, the Ritual Specter! Born when Katarina Novak tried to summon a Golem but accidentally Googled "how to summon a ghost" instead. Now it’s a semi-corporeal Karen haunting arcane rituals, leaving Yelp reviews in glowing sigils. Why are we like this?
When the Ritual Specter awoke, it sought a worthy vessel. Enter Marvin Atene, PDGA #186038, who once threw a disc so hard it summoned a Golem. The Specter, impressed by his 898 rating and ability to turn any round into a séance, chose him. But can Marvin handle a tag that’s more haunted than his putting game? Will he survive the Yelp reviews?
