Origin Story

Created by Dag Coalfire during his early experiments to harness dragon essence through steam power, the Vapormaw Engine began as an attempt to replicate the Clockwork Dragon's ability to channel magical energy. Through extensive runic enhancement and steam engineering, it evolved into a semi-sentient hybrid that embodies The Runed Pistons' vision of progress.

Properties

A massive steam-powered construct that combines industrial machinery with draconic characteristics, capable of converting magical energy into raw mechanical force. Its core contains intricate runic arrays that pulse with arcane energy, while its steam-powered systems generate tremendous force through magically-enhanced pistons. The construct can superheat steam to temperatures that rival dragon's breath, channeling it through specially designed runic chambers.

Role

The Vapormaw Engine serves as both a proof of concept for The Runed Pistons' theories about harnessing magical energy and a tool in their quest to locate the missing Clockwork Dragon. Its ability to detect and analyze magical energy signatures makes it invaluable in their search.
