Mission Briefing
Agents, welcome to Week 5: Riverbank Rings. The glyph has expanded. It is no longer just a circle; it is encompassing the fairway. You are not just playing disc golf; you are conducting a survey of an anomaly that defies physics. Also, we need more of you. Last week's turnout was statistically insignificant. Please report for duty.
This is a flex-start league. Choose your tee time between 7:00 AM and 5:20 PM on Wednesdays. Whether you prefer the morning calm or the evening chaos, the Pattern will be waiting, judging your release angle.
The Anomaly (Important Intel)
Per the file I'm legally required to read aloud: THE PATTERN is the signature left in the field. It is impossible geometry pressed into tall grass overnight, perfect and silent. River Bottoms' tall riverside grasses are the literal canvas. We are dealing with Op Art: Bridget Riley optical geometry, hypnotic black-and-white waves, moire that vibrates. It hurts to look at. The concentric rings seem to move. We don't know who made this, but the symmetry is deeply suspicious.
Funding the Resistance
The Slush Fund is overflowing. The Ace Pot currently sits at $272.55. Please note: ElevateUT Disc Golf guarantees a minimum $50 Ace Pot. This means the displayed pot may appear 'stuck' at $50 until contributions exceed the guarantee. Any guarantee top-up is credited to the winner's Bonus Account for registration fees.
Timeline
The survey lasts 10 weeks. Every Wednesday at River Bottoms Disc Golf Course. We document the evidence until the season concludes or the Pattern swallows the facility.
Clearance Levels (Standings)
The Audit is ongoing. In Pool A (RPA), Chris Fox is holding Ground Zero clearance with 159 points. In Pool B (RAE), Christopher Hamby is suppressing the competition with 139 points. The rest of you are 'Stable,' which is just bureaucratic slang for 'lucky.' Remember, challenging a higher clearance is an Audit. Win, and you take their classification. Lose, and you are redacted to the bottom of the file.
