Like a peregrine's strike, pure and true, Cam Peterson swooped through MA1 with deadly precision, claiming both victory and the day's closest-to-pin bounty with a +2 performance that left lesser raptors in his wake. His accuracy earned him not just triumph, but a purse of $27.00 for his precise targeting.
In MA2, young Hans Duong demonstrated the patience of a hovering kestrel, working the winds to a masterful +3 finish. Close behind, Tannor Merkel maintained steady flight at +9, while Ian Dahlen Flor banked in at +10, showing promising form in the thermal currents.
The MPO eyrie saw Britain Best living up to his namesake, soaring to victory with a +5 performance that spoke of both power and precision. Like a red-tailed hawk riding the thermals, he made the challenging course bend to his will.
Our seasoned hunters in the age-protected divisions showed their experience, with Sean Kelley claiming MP40 victory at +9, while Brian Cocanour defended his territory in MA40 with determination.
The winds tested all who took wing today, but none could deny the spirit of competition that soared through our ranks. From the precise strikes of our advanced hunters to the determined flights of our newer fledglings, each competitor added their own chapter to our ongoing saga of aerial excellence.
