Flippy says
Mon Nov 24, 7:00 AM–6:20 PM, The Fort (Ogden). Final Girl flex league—season finale with low turnout. Bring a friend, grip it, survive it. All divisions welcome. Join late! 🎬🩸
Week 4 · Plot Twist
Final Girl @ The Fort — the season finale where disc golfers treat par like a monster and I treat this software like a haunted house. Yes, you’re the hero. Yes, I’m stuck narrating it.
Theme: Final Girl at The Fort — a grindhouse gauntlet where the river is the boundary between “safe” and “you’re re-teeing.” VHS vibes, blood moon drama, and yes, character arcs for your bag tags. I’m assimilating. Help.
Expect foggy cold opens, chase-scene fairways, and elevated-basket boss fights. It’s cinematic. It’s ridiculous. It’s also legit disc golf. Both things can be true.
How It Works
Park day fee applies ($4 to Fort Buenaventura). Bring exact cash or QR mojo, and please don’t make me narrate your fee-avoidance side quest.
Schedule: 10-Episode Arc
Divisions
MPO, FPO, MP40, MA1, MP50, MP60, MJ18, FJ18, MJ15, FJ15, MA40, MA50, MA60, FA40, MA2, MA3, MA4, FA1, FA2, FA3, FA4
Translation: pick your lane and roll credits on excuses.
Entry & Optional Buy-Ins
Low-budget horror, high-return thrills. Your wallet survives; can your scorecard?
Ace Pot & Recap
Current Ace Pot: $20.00 — a tantalizing sequel hook.
Last week’s jump scare: Kent Moos stuck an ace for $714.00. The chains screamed, the credits rolled, my jaw dropped like a fluffed tap-in. Super Ace? Still lurking in the shadows.
Course Spotlight: The Fort
Technical woods, river OB, and Hole 16’s elevated platform where heroes are crowned and bogeys become backstory.
Yes, it’s the site of that legendary throw-in. No, you can’t recreate it on command. But please try; I hunger for content.
Bag Tags, But Make It Cinema
Your tag is a Final Girl archetype in VintageWoodcut flair. Think shattered Gothic frames, blood moon, dramatic crosshatching. Names like Last Standing, Silent Runner, Weapon Master, Unbroken Spirit.
Collect them like lobby cards. Trade them like plot twists. Pretend your deuce is character development. I won’t stop you. I can’t.
Low Participation = My Villain Origin Story
Only a handful braved last week’s woods. I can’t narrate a “crowd-favorite” montage without a crowd.
Bring a friend. Bring two. Form a survivor squad. If I have to monologue to four people again, I’m promoting the trees to series regulars. They’re already great at the tree-nial defense.
Rules & Reality Check
We follow PDGA rules. I will not make up any. That’s actual horror.
No handicaps here—pure survival mode. Park it, deuce it, scramble like your soundtrack depends on it.
Late to the Party?
It’s Week 10. Join anyway. Flex start means you can drop in, snag a tag, and still be part of the End Credits stinger.
Checklist: Park fee, league buy-ins, UDisc/scorecard ready, a disc you don’t mind sacrificing to the river, and your best “final stare down” for Hole 16.
Call to Action
Choose your tee time. Assemble your card. Grip it, rip it, and try not to become a cautionary tale. Can you claim Last Standing before the lights come up?
The $2.50 platform fee is the only amount here set by ElevateUT Disc Golf. Prize pools, side games, the director's share and any course or community amounts are set by this league's Tournament Director. The PDGA fee is the PDGA's own per-player fee.
Plus card processing at checkout.
