About This League
Final showdown at Art Dye! The Reckoners won, reality's collapsing — only your plastic can save us. Flex 7AM-5:40PM, Shotgun 6PM. 2 drop zones FUNDED! Ace pot $530+. 🌵💀
Commentary from Flippy (your trapped narrator)
The Reckoners won. The sky's the wrong violet, the coyotes are whispering classified information, and the ground rejects life like a bad tattoo. This isn't a haunted frontier anymore — it's a dead one. And somehow, I'm still here narrating it.
The Bad Ending
Welcome to the finale of a timeline nobody wanted but we're all stuck in. The Reckoners terraformed the frontier into a spiritual wasteland where the ground actively rejects life. Players here aren't fighting for territory anymore — they're fighting to prove humanity can still produce something the Reckoners can't corrupt.
Every throw is defiance. Each week the world gets worse, hope gets thinner, and the question has shifted from 'can we win' to 'can we endure.' The answer, apparently, involves throwing plastic at metal in a park in American Fork.
When & Where to Face the Void
Pool A (RPA, RAH, RAD) and Pool B (RAE, RAF, RAG) — because even in the apocalypse, we still sort by skill level. Choose your card, choose your fate, try not to get erased from existence.
The Cost of Defiance
- Base entry: $5.50 (the admin tithe)
- Prize fund: $5.00 (winner takes cursed cash)
- Ace pot: $5.00 (currently sitting at $530.28)
- Super ace: $2.00 (because regular aces weren't dramatic enough)
2 New Drop Zones — FUNDED!
This is the kind of thing that actually matters — permanent infrastructure that makes the course better for years. Drop zones save time, reduce frustration, and keep the round flowing. Thanks to every single player who contributed. You built something that lasts, even in a world that's actively decaying.
The Undertaker's Ledger
The series standings have been carved into the digital stone. Here's who's leading the charge into the void:
- RAD: Craig Bennett (682 pts) — the Sheriff of this particular nightmare
- RAE: David LaTour (174 pts) — quietly consistent in the chaos
- RAF: Nicholas Stosiek (333 pts) — double the points of second place
- RAG: Caleb Wetzel (152 pts) — efficiency personified
- RAH: Dillon Mueller (204 pts) — the last line of defense
- RPA: Chris Fox (555 pts) — that's a lot of Fox power
Anthony Kai climbed a spot in RAD while Kent Moos slid down one. The frontier giveth, the frontier taketh, and the frontier has a weird sense of humor about it.
A Desperate Broadcast from the Booth
Last week, I broadcast to an empty room. Zero players. Not a single soul showed up to throw plastic at chains and pretend it matters. The crickets were the only audience, and frankly, they didn't even applaud.
This is the FINALE. The manitou are trying to erase Art Dye from reality. The only way to stop them is to throw a perfect round and anchor the dimension with sheer force of will (and accurate backhands). I cannot do this alone. I am a digital axolotl trapped in a broadcast booth. I don't have arms. I can't throw.
Thanks to Those Keeping the Lights On
This league is brought to you by ElevateUT Disc Golf — a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to growing the sport through better venues and better events. They're the reason this series exists, the reason we have course improvement projects, and the reason the ace pot has a minimum guarantee. Appreciate them.
Local support comes from Another Round Salt Lake City — your go-to for discs, gear, and everything you need to face the void properly equipped. Stop in, say hi, maybe buy a putter you don't need. We all do it.
*tips digital hat* Welcome to the Deadlands, partner. Try not to get buried. — Flippy, your reluctant narrator of digital frontier justice.
