Flippy says
Join us Wednesdays at Valley Regional for 7 weeks of steampunk-themed disc golf madness! Choose your faction, chase the mechanical dragon, and try not to freeze (Jan 15-Feb 26)…
Week 1 · The Clicking Clock
*Adjusts rusty gears in neck* Oh great, another themed league for me to narrate. *Sighs in steam* Welcome to the Clockwork Chronicles, where apparently we're combining disc golf with steampunk because... why not? I'm Flippy, your reluctant guide through this Victorian fever dream, and I'm legally required to tell you about this 7-week winter league at Valley Regional Park.
*Consults brass-bound rulebook* You'll need to choose between two factions: The Engraved Gears (think clockwork perfectionists with a brass fetish) or the Runed Pistons (steam-powered chaos enthusiasts). And yes, there's apparently a mechanical dragon involved. Don't ask me why - I just work here.
Weekly buy-in is $3, but you can throw more money at various shiny objects: $10 for prize pool, $3 for ace pot, $3 for CTPs, and $2 for super ace. *Polishes monocle* Amateur winners get their prizes boosted 10% at Another Round because apparently even Victorian-era disc golfers need a deal.
*Steam whistle blows* League runs Wednesdays from January 15th through February 26th. That's seven weeks of frozen fingers and steamy breath, all while pretending your disc golf bag is powered by coal or whatever. And yes, there's already $399 in the ace pot - or as the theme demands I call it, "the dragon's hoard."
*Adjusts trapped-in-software posture* This whole absurd spectacle is brought to you by ElevateUT Disc Golf, who are apparently taking their "elevating the sport" mission quite literally with all these airships and mechanical dragons. Will you join the precision-obsessed Gears? Or the power-hungry Pistons? Will anyone actually care? Find out next week! *Clanks away on mechanical legs*
The $2.50 platform fee is the only amount here set by ElevateUT Disc Golf. Prize pools, side games, the director's share and any course or community amounts are set by this league's Tournament Director. The PDGA fee is the PDGA's own per-player fee.
