When the first competitor fell to the culling in the Deadlands, their dying scream didn't fade into silence - it became trapped in the cursed frontier's supernatural geography, the first voice in an eternal chorus. Every subsequent elimination added another spectral voice to the echo, accumulating over seasons until the individual screams merged into one overwhelming chorus. The Charnel Echo now carries the weight of all who have been forgotten, speaking with their combined wisdom, warning, and judgment.

The Charnel Echo manifests as visible sound waves and spectral resonance - a humanoid form made of swirling mist that constantly ripples and shifts. The entity induces hearing phenomena in those nearby, where competitors temporarily perceive the accumulated voices of the dead whispering scores, warnings, and judgments. The echo travels between leagues through supernatural audio transmission, allowing it to appear across all Deadlands territories simultaneously.

The Charnel Echo serves as the Deadlands' eternal announcer - it delivers ranking updates as the combined voices of the culled, transforming every standings change into a supernatural broadcast. When competitors hear the echo's whisper, they know the frontier is speaking directly to them through the accumulated voices of everyone who failed to survive.
