Exists as visible corruption in otherwise clean footage, manifesting as dark dropout regions that appear precisely where the Chaintrix attempts to conceal truth. Can only be witnessed when official recordings fail, appearing only when signal integrity breaks down and pristine footage degrades. Carries the accumulated 'debt' of every missed attendance, encoding every no-show as permanent magnetic dropout that signals the player's fading presence. Appears as regions of pure black that pulse with faint phosphor glow, creating visible proof that absence creates more authoritative testimony than presence.

The Dropout Shade serves as the ultimate witness of suppression. When the Chaintrix attempts to erase a player from memory, the Shade appears to preserve what was supposed to be hidden in corrupted dropout patterns. It transforms every failed recording into binding testimony and every signal failure into revelation.
