In 1997, a Blockbuster franchise manager in Ogden, Utah noticed that customers with the highest late fees also had the highest rates of 'membership suspension' - disappearing from the store's active records. She began documenting the correlation, and when the store closed in 2009, her ledger was found glowing with VHS tracking lines. The Late Fee Oracle was born from her discovery: the late fee isn't a punishment, it's a prediction.

Manifests as a glowing Blockbuster membership card from 1997, its plastic casing warped by heat from continuously running VCRs. The membership number shifts between digits, never settling on a final count. Late fees accumulate in real-time as glowing amber numbers that drip down the card's surface like melting wax. The barcode breathes with neon green light, scanning continuously.

The Oracle calculates the precise late fee debt each player has accumulated across all 16 simulations and manifests when someone's balance reaches the suspension threshold - appearing to render judgment based on unpaid attendance debts, transforming every missed event into compound interest against your survival.
