The Negative Testimony emerged when a player disputed their elimination, demanding to see the original footage. When technicians pulled the film negative, they discovered it showed the opposite of what the VHS tape recorded - and the Chaintrix ruled that the negative, being the source material, was the authoritative truth that superseded all subsequent copies.

The Negative Testimony exists as strips of orange-brown film negative with perforated sprocket holes, displaying every player performance in reversed tonality where attendance appears as shadow and absence glows bright. The film base carries the distinct chemical smell of developer solution, and the grain structure is more prominent than any theatrical print. When held to light, it reveals inverted truths that positive copies deliberately obscure.

It functions as the source-truth validator that converts all player performances into photographic negatives, ensuring the Chaintrix always has access to pre-edited reality across all 16 simulations - making the inverted original more legally binding than any audience-ready theatrical print.
