Once a local hunter who ventured too deep into the creek's ancient gloom, he was transformed by the disturbed spawning grounds into a half-beast entity. Now, his growls echo perpetually through the fog, a permanent reminder of the creek's awakened horrors. His existence is tied to the supernatural fog that thickens with each creature emergence.

The Gloom Growler possesses a muscular, wolf-like form with matted fur that constantly drips with creek water and fog condensation. Its eyes glow with an eerie green light that pierces through the densest gloom, and its powerful limbs allow it to move swiftly across both land and shallow water. The creature's growls emit low-frequency vibrations that disorient players and mask other aquatic sounds, and it is most active during peak fog conditions, using the obscurity to stalk its prey.

It serves as an auditory herald and hunter, escalating tension during fog events by signaling the presence of other creatures and forcing players to navigate by sound. Its growls amplify psychological horror, making the creek rounds more treacherous and immersive.
