Sunburst Fiend

Once a traditional night-dwelling vampire, this ancient aristocrat spent decades deliberately exposing himself to increasing amounts of sunlight along the Jordan River's banks. Through centuries of painful adaptation, he became the first vampire to not merely survive daylight but draw power from it, paving the way for the vampire resort's establishment.

His skin gleams with an iridescent quality that refracts sunlight into prismatic patterns, creating natural Art Nouveau designs across his flesh. Rather than burning in UV light, he absorbs solar energy to enhance his vampiric abilities, making him strongest during peak daylight hours. His fangs have developed a crystalline structure that can focus sunbeams into concentrated beams of searing light.

He serves as the evolutionary template that all other daywalker vampires aspire to match, teaching aristocratic houses the techniques of solar adaptation. His presence at Roots validates the location as the premier vampire resort and demonstrates that traditional vampire defenses are now obsolete.
