Aspects refreshed Dec 14, 2025

Born from a corrupted sound engineer's equipment left behind after a failed horror film shoot at The Fort, the Scream Catcher merged vintage recording technology with supernatural malevolence. As players began disappearing from the league, their final screams were absorbed into its analog memory banks, creating a growing library of pure terror that now echoes across the course.

Manifests as a grotesque fusion of vintage reel-to-reel recording equipment and organic horror, with magnetic tape that writhes like living veins and speakers that pulse with each captured scream. Its analog dials spin wildly when detecting fear, and the device emits a low static hum punctuated by fragments of previous victims' terror. The corrupted machinery feeds on acoustic terror, growing stronger with each new scream added to its collection.

Serves as the course's psychological tormentor, playing back captured screams at crucial moments to break players' concentration and amplify their fear. The Scream Catcher strategically deploys its audio arsenal to create maximum psychological impact during the survival gauntlet.
