Salt Meridian

The Salt Meridian emerged from the collective suffering of all players who have crossed curse thresholds throughout the history of the Accords. Each time a curse manifested, a portion of that supernatural energy crystallized into salt at the course boundaries, slowly building over time into a visible, audible warning system that now serves as the supernatural infrastructure connecting all league venues.

The Salt Meridian manifests as a shimmering line of crystalline salt that runs through every fairway and around every basket, glowing with a soft golden light that pulses in rhythm with the accumulated magical debt of all players who've played that course. The crystals are sharp and angular, catching the light in ways that seem almost alive. It emits a low humming sound when players approach threshold zones and grows colder as more curses manifest nearby. The Meridian changes color based on the faction whose territory it marks - golden for Wizard Wardens, ghostly white for Risen Dead, blood-red for House Silk and Teeth, and deep green for the Forest Covenant.

The Salt Meridian serves as the supernatural infrastructure that makes rating-based curses possible, embodying the razor-thin edge between safety and curse manifestation. It creates tangible stakes for every round by making the boundary between safe play and curse manifestation visible, audible, and physically felt.
