Every rating drop reopens it; every curse manifests from its depths.

The Salt Wound is invisible to non-signers but manifests visibly to those under the Accords' jurisdiction. It pulses with golden light when a player's rating drops significantly, serving as a tangible reminder of approaching thresholds. Unlike physical injuries, it cannot be healed—only managed through performance or transferred through specific treaty clauses. All Salt Wounds remain connected through the Accords' network, creating invisible threads between every player in the league.

The Salt Wound serves as the actual mechanism of supernatural consequence in the Salt Lake Accords system. While the Clause Phantom warns and the Rating Reaper executes, the Salt Wound is where the power originates. When players cross into curse territory, their wound activates first, bleeding the magical energy that becomes their consequence.
