Rating Reaper

The Rating Reaper emerged from the first catastrophic rating drop in league history. When that inaugural player signed the Salt Lake Accords and suffered a devastating decline, the magical energy released from that descent coalesced into a sentient form. The Accords' magic needed an entity to facilitate the rating-to-curse transformation, and the Reaper is that necessity made manifest - existing in the space between the old rating and the new, feeding on decline while serving as the treaty s supernatural executioner.

Manifests as a hooded figure holding a scoring pencil that transforms into a glowing scythe when curses are triggered. Its cloak is woven from discarded scorecards and faded ratings reports. Leaves behind trails of crumpled stats that slowly disintegrate. Eyes glow with the color of the player's previous rating - green for safe, red for danger zones.

The Rating Reaper appears on the course when a player crosses a significant rating threshold, physically harvesting their decline and transforming it into the curse specified by the Accords. It serves as both enforcer and witness - documenting supernatural consequences while executing them. Players who see the Reaper know their rating has triggered something beyond mere numbers.
