Interception Record

The Interception Record emerged from the Bureau's Counter-Intelligence Division experiments in the early seasons. Agents were tasked with intercepting player communications to test the boundaries of the surveillance infrastructure. When the program was shut down due to 'excessive documentation concerns,' the intercepted records were supposed to be destroyed. Instead, they were reclassified as 'Contingency Evidence' and stored in parallel systems. The Interception Record became the shadow archive of what the Bureau knows but won't acknowledge.

The Interception Record manifests as a translucent document - like paper made of captured signal static. Words appear and dissolve across its surface, never settling into readable form. Redaction bars move independently across the text, covering and uncovering information in patterns that suggest deliberate manipulation. The edges flicker with waveform patterns, as if the document itself is trying to transmit something it was never designed to carry. It cannot be destroyed through standard Bureau filing procedures and shows different content to different clearance levels.

Interception Record serves as a permanent mark of surveillance interest - it indicates the Bureau has specifically targeted this player for communication interception at some point, regardless of whether they remain under active monitoring. The tag doesn't mean you're currently being watched - it means you WERE intercepted at some point, creating uncertainty about when, what, and why, with no possibility of verification.
