Wiped Record

*Flippy mutters while generating character aspects*

The Wiped Record originated from a classified Bureau operation known as 'Project Whiteout' - a systematic attempt to eliminate competitive histories of assets who had become liabilities to the Containment Zone. When the Bureau discovered certain players were becoming too influential or asking dangerous questions about the Slush Fund, their entire competitive existence was erased from all archives. The operation was supposed to be temporary, but the deletion protocols became corrupted, creating rogue Wiped Records that now drift through the system - players whose histories exist nowhere and everywhere simultaneously.

A Wiped Record appears as a standard Bureau manila folder, but when opened reveals pages of text that have been chemically dissolved - ghost impressions remain where words once existed, like shadows burned into paper. The folder's tab displays only a case number, no name. Under ultraviolet light, a pulsing 'NULL' watermark pulses slowly, like a heartbeat. The folder feels heavier than it should, as if it carries the weight of everything that was erased. It cannot be digitally reproduced - any attempt creates a completely blank image. It also attracts other Bureau documents nearby, as if seeking connection to what it lost.

Wiped Records are tracked by the Bureau as anomalies - their existence proves the system can fail, and the Bureau will do anything to recover or eliminate them. The existence of a Wiped Record is the Bureau's greatest shame, representing proof that the system is not infallible, making them targets for both recovery and destruction. Other players view them with a mixture of pity and fear - are they victims of Bureau overreach, or dangerous entities who've escaped the system's notice?
