A Document That Lies in Wait
Paranoid About Being Watched
Aspects refreshed Jul 02, 2026
The Bureau's archival division discovered that certain chemical compounds used in document processing left trace residues invisible to standard examination. Rather than eliminate the flaw, the Department of Internal Communications recognized its potential - a messaging system that could bypass standard surveillance. Rogue archivists began marking player files with invisible annotations that would only reveal themselves to those who knew to look, creating a shadow network of information flow that operates in plain sight while remaining completely hidden.
The tag manifests as a seemingly blank surface that reveals different text depending on the viewer's clearance level and the angle of observation. Under specific lighting conditions, bureaucratic directives, warning annotations, or coded messages become visible. The information dynamically shifts based on the player's current status - what was hidden may become visible after certain events, and vice versa. The tag cannot be photographed or digitally replicated - only those physically present can witness its contents.
Invisible Ink serves as both a warning system and a secret communication channel within the Bureau's complex hierarchy. Players carrying this tag have received classified messages through their official file that other competitors cannot access or verify. This creates immediate uncertainty about what hidden instructions or assessments have been made, whether secret alliances exist, or if special circumstances affect their competitive fate.
