“Monster Mayhem” brought Week 8 of Dead Outside Presents: The Monsters of Beacon Hill to Beacon Hill Park’s glow-charged Monster Series layout, where 20 disc golfers battled both vintage movie monsters and each other under a moonlit, fog-tinged atmosphere. The finale delivered edge-of-your-seat drama, from multiple aces on Par 2s to final-hole birdies that decided division titles. 🥏🌕

In MP40, Jeremy Helt stormed the monster’s lair with a league-best –6, sealing the title with a razor-sharp birdie on hole 27 and aces on holes 20 and 27. The glow of Helt’s drive cut through the supernatural haze like a blessed silver putter through lycanthrope hide. John Ashworth (–5) clawed back late with an ace of his own on 21, trading leads with Helt through the haunted corridors of holes 16–24—only for a bogey at 24 to close his window for the crown. Calvin Poon (–6 PB) and Joshua Addis Sr. (–2 PB) tangled early with the lead, while Jacob Addis (+1) and Josh Wadley (–4 PB) got spooked on hole 7, dropping behind. It’s like I always say: There’s no such thing as a routine drive when you’re hunting monsters, kid. 🚨🎯

Over in MA2, Brett Lewis held the high ground at –4, matching his personal best and edging out Jarom Youngblood and Ronnie Higley. An early trade of leads on holes 1–3 and a bogey at 2 nearly summoned defeat, but Lewis refused to drop his lantern in the darkness, outlasting Youngblood’s charge. Shawn Hastings (+5) unleashed fury with an ace at 20, surging into third by hole 9 before the bogey beast struck on 4. The forest knows when you hesitate. ⚡️👣

In the MA3 duel, Andrew Nemelka braved the shadowed fairways to an even-par round, nabbing the only birdie on the notorious hole 2 and setting a new personal record. Jordan Lucero (+76) tied Nemelka after hole 1, but from there, Nemelka gripped the steering wheel with both hands, keeping the monster in the backseat despite Lucero’s late surge. Sometimes the only thing between you and the jaws of darkness is composure. 📈🧰

For MP50, Thomas Marsh made a solo flight at –2, posting a spotless line through the gnarled woods and marking a new personal best. No lead changes, no drama—just Marsh and the course, like a monster hunter alone at midnight, too stubborn to flinch. 🏆🌲

In MA40, Dayne Marsh (+3 PB) survived a seesaw struggle with Josh Rowberry (+5). From holes 1–21, the lead changed hands like a cursed artifact, and Rowberry’s bogeys at 2, 12, and 24 gave Marsh the edge. Marsh’s birdies at 5 and 10 flashed through the trees like holy water on a vampire’s lair, while Rowberry’s late run on 14–16 was undone by a dropped shot on 15. Every duel here leaves scars. 🏹🦉

The FA40 finale saw Heather Leapaldt stand alone with a +11 and a new division course record, rising from a cold streak that broke over holes 6–8 like sunlight through fog. Her CTP slipped away on 8, but her grit delivered an 11-stroke personal best—no small feat in a place where everyday hazards wear monster masks. 📊👟

MA4 was a gauntlet: Skyler Hall outlasted Conner Fleck (+13) and Devin Hall (+15) after Fleck’s bogey on 3 set the pecking order. Skyler iced the win with an ace on 27, snapped a three-hole cold streak at 23–25, and capped it off with a final-hole birdie. When survival’s on the line, a little luck—and steely aim—goes a long way. 🥇🔥

In MA1, Clark Kerswell calmly posted even par to take the division uncontested, setting a new personal best and reminding us all that sometimes the quiet rounds conceal the fiercest spirits. 📈🥏

Six aces electrified the glow course—Hastings at 20; Helt at 20 & 27; Ashworth at 21; Higley at 22; Hall at 27—while personal bests lit up leaderboards across divisions. Only the bravest scored birdies on Beacon Hill's gnarled signature holes—2, 5, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 18, 21, 22, 27—etched into history by Nemelka, Marsh, Poon, Helt, Ashworth, Higley, and Hall. Hot runs (Lewis, Poon) and mid-round chills (Hall, Leapaldt, Devin Hall) underscored the glow-charged hazards lurking just beyond sight. There’s a dark story in every stat line—read between the lines and you’ll see the monsters lurking. 😈🔥

Special honors: the CTP on hole 8 went to Jacob Addis (380 ft) for $54.00, a payout fatter than a swamp goblin on fish night. The Ace Pot split among six acers—Shawn Hastings, Jeremy Helt (twice), John Ashworth, Ronnie Higley, and Skyler Hall; each rewarded for unleashing shots sharp enough to carve talismans into the fog and bank accounts alike. 🎯💰

As the Mega-Mutant threat coalesced in the season finale, every nerve-rattling ace and final-hole birdie ignited the Monster Hunters’ resolve—and Professor Hess’s runes pulsed even brighter, the glow fighting back against the rift’s onslaught.

With the championship decided and season 8 sealed shut like a crypt, the Hunters have driven back one last surge of chaos from Beacon Hill Park. Payouts delivered, triumphs toasted, story threads dangling like cobwebs—if disc golf has taught us anything, it’s that the rift is never truly closed. A new darkness waits. Be ready, rookie…the worst is yet to come. 🏆🦇
