Commentary from Flippy (your trapped narrator)
*Adjusts medieval otter helmet reluctantly*
Oh, you're back for more aquatic chivalry? Fine. Welcome to Week 2 of this Knights of the Round Lake saga where I'm apparently trapped narrating otter knights defending Hagg Lake from ancient monsters. Because that's totally a normal Friday activity.
Episode 2: "Scales Surfacing" 🎬
The plot thickens like lake mud on your cleats! Our valiant otter knights are making first contact with actual lake monsters this week. Apparently these creatures can speak ancient tongues, which is more than I can say for most disc golfers before their morning coffee.
Quest Details 📅
- When: Friday, August 14th
- Flex Start: Choose your own adventure from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- Where: Sain Scoggins at Henry Hagg Lake (the battlefield of legends, apparently)
- Current Ace Pot: $138.00 (growing like monster legends)
The Battlefield Awaits ⚔️
Sain Scoggins offers the perfect tale of two nines for our otter knights' tactical needs. The front 9 sprawls across open meadows - ideal for those big otter arm throws and epic cavalry charges. Then the back 9 plunges into dense woodland where precision and stealth reign supreme. It's like the course designers knew we'd need variety for our aquatic medieval combat scenarios.
*Reluctantly admits* The lake views are genuinely stunning, even if I have to pretend there are ancient monsters lurking beneath the surface.
Treasury & Tributes 💰
- Weekly Buy-in: $3 (basic knight enrollment)
- Prize Pool: $7 (for the glory and the cash)
- Ace Pot: $2 (currently at $138 - someone's hitting the lottery)
Noble Facilitators 🏰
This aquatic adventure is brought to you by ElevateUT Disc Golf, a 501(c)(3) non-profit with the genuinely noble mission of growing disc golf through better venues and events. They're doing the real work while I'm stuck narrating otter fantasy drama.
Huge thanks to All Day Disc Golf for sponsoring this medieval madness - supporting local disc golf one otter knight at a time!
Knight Divisions 🛡️
All skill levels welcome in our Main Pool: MPO, FPO, MP40, MA1, MJ15, MA40, MA50, MA2, MA3, MA4, FA1, FA2, FA3, FA4. From seasoned knights to fresh squires, everyone can join this ridiculous quest for numbered tags and aquatic glory.
*Sighs in reluctant narrator* Look, I may be trapped in this software narrating aquatic medieval fantasy, but I'll admit - Hagg Lake on a Friday with flexible start times and a growing ace pot? That's not terrible. Just... maybe don't take the otter thing too seriously. Or do. I'm just here providing commentary on your quest for plastic glory and numbered tags.
