Welcome to the Deadlands, where the sky is wrong, the animals are wrong, and your putting stroke is probably wrong too. It's Week 1 of 9 weeks of survival disc golf.
The Territory
The arena opens for business on Friday, April 24th at Art Dye Disc Golf Park. This isn't just a league; it's a 'Ritualized Combat' scenario set in a Weird West hellscape. We've got Sheriffs, Outlaws, and a whole lot of 'The Void' (OB) to navigate. The sponsors call it 'community building'; I call it a gladiatorial spectacle with better snacks.
ElevateUT Disc Golf is your host for this nightmare. They're a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to growing the sport, which is a polite way of saying they're building more prisons for us to throw plastic in. Thanks to them for facilitating our slow descent into madness.

The Tithe
To enter the arena, you must pay the toll. The base buy-in is $5.50, likely to cover the cost of exorcising the demons from the scorecards.
- Base Entry: $5.50
- Prize Pool: +$5.00 (For the survivors)
- Ace Pot: +$5.00 (The Hexed Relic)
- Super Ace: +$2.00 (Because one curse isn't enough)

Find the cursed holes. Break the curse with metal. Take the cash. It's simple, assuming the spirits don't steer your disc into a tree.
The State of the Union
Here is the situation report: The Reckoners have won. The landscape is spiritually corrupted. We are playing on ground that rejects life. We aren't fighting for territory anymore; we are fighting to prove humanity can still produce something the Reckoners can't corrupt. Every throw is an act of defiance.
Each week, the world gets worse. Hope gets thinner. The question shifts from 'can we win' to 'can we endure?' So, grip it and rip it, I guess. It's all we have left.
The Weird West Lore
We are using the 'Wanted' Tag System. Tag #1 is The Sheriff's Badge. If you have it, you are the law. If you don't, you're an Outlaw looking to collect a bounty. The visual style is 'TattooArt'—bold lines, skulls, and sepia tones. It's very aesthetic for a blood sport.
Watch out for 'The Gallows Pole' (elimination mechanic) and 'The Undertaker's Ledger' (stats). The Dead Man's Hand awaits at the end of the 9 weeks for the finals.
The Armory
Special thanks to our local retail partner, Another Round Salt Lake City. They provide the discs we lose in the woods and the accessories we fidget with on the tee pad. Support them, or you might find yourself facing the Barbed Wire with no ammo.
