Aspects refreshed Jun 02, 2026

The Dust Sermon was born when the first competitor was culled in the Deadlands - their dying words became trapped in the frontier's dust, and as more fell, their voices merged into a single eternal transmission that now blankets all leagues. What began as one soul's final sermon has become the accumulated wisdom of every forgotten player, a supernatural radio frequency that only the worthy can hear.

The Dust Sermon manifests as a weathered leather-bound badge with pages that seem to blow in an invisible wind, each page containing transcribed final words of eliminated competitors, stained with spectral dust that never settles. It emits a faint whispering sound when held near the ear - the accumulated sermons of the fallen. The badge grows heavier with each elimination, accumulating the weight of forgotten wisdom.

Bearers of the Dust Sermon gain the ability to hear the dying wisdom of eliminated competitors, receiving cryptic warnings and survival insights that help them avoid the mistakes that claimed previous challengers. This transforms the fear of elimination into a valuable information source - the dead still speak to the living, and those who listen survive longer in the cursed frontier.
