How Bag Tags Work in Our League 🥏
Bag tags are a fun way to track player rankings and add a competitive edge to our disc golf league. Here's how they work:
- 🏷️ Tag Assignment: Each player is assigned a unique bag tag with a number and custom artwork. Lower numbers are better!
- 🎯 Up for Grabs: In each league event, all participating players' bag tags are "up for grabs."
- 📊 Ranking by Performance: After the event, bag tags are redistributed based on players' scores. The best-performing player gets the lowest-numbered tag, and so on.
- 🔄 Tag Exchanges: If you outperform a player with a lower-numbered tag, you'll exchange tags with them.
- 🛡️ Defending Your Tag: If you perform well enough to keep your current tag number or better, you've successfully "defended" your tag.
- ⏳ Inactive Tags: If you miss two league events in a row, you forfeit your tag.
- 🆕 New Players: Newcomers receive their tag at the end of the list after their first event.
🏆 Tiebreaker Rules:
In case of ties, we use the following criteria to determine tag distribution:
- Number of league events played in the current league (more is better)
- Average score across all events played in the current league (lower is better)
- PDGA number (lower is better)
🏁 End of Season: At the end of the season, your final bag tag will be permanently displayed on your ElevateUT Disc Golf Leagues account as a testament to your performance.
Remember, bag tags are all about friendly competition and bragging rights. Good luck, and may the best player earn the #1 tag! 🥇
Dusk Delta's Current Holder
Tag History
Bag Tag 16 'Dusk Delta' finds a new home with Ernest, who absolutely slayed with that E score, shining brighter than a starry night in the bottoms! With a league event average of 2.4, Ernest's 911-rated performance is a symphony of success, outshining even the disco dreams of the past tag holders. This tag might be "just ok," but Ernest's play today is more lit than a full moon on the fairway! As the final chapter closes on our league saga, Ernest's stellar performance adds a dazzling twist to the tale, proving that even a tag that's just ok can bring moments of pure disc golf magic. #StarryKnight #LitLegacy
Bag Tag 16 'Dusk Delta' dances into John's hands after a stellar E round, shining brighter than a disco ball in the River bottoms. With a league event average of 4.0, John's 920-rated performance leaves the competition feeling more shook than a shaky putt. This tag might be "just ok," but John's play today is anything but! As we near the league's grand finale, will John ride this wave of success to snag the ultimate prize, or will Dusk Delta's curse strike again under the twilight sky? #DiscoDreams #ShookInTheDark
Bag Tag 16 'Dusk Delta' changes hands again, landing in Eric's not-so-eager grip after a lackluster +4 performance. With a rating drop of 9 points, Eric's game tonight was more twilight than dusk. This tag's journey continues to attract players like a mediocre magnet. Will Eric rise from this valley, or will Dusk Delta's curse linger? The drama thickens as the league's climax approaches. Will Eric steer this ship to victory, or will this tag remain eternally "just ok"? #TwilightTroubles #MediocreMagnet
Bag Tag 16 'Dusk Delta' continues its journey with Leif, snagged in a wind-whipped apocalypse of a round. Leif's +5 score might not scream victory, but hey, it's on-brand for this "just ok" tag. With an average league event score of 60, Leif's consistency keeps them in the game, staying close to their 60 overall average. As we near the league's climax, will this steady ship steer Leif to the top, or will they be lost in the twilight like those before them? Only time (and maybe a bit less wind) will tell. #DuskyDrama #SteadyEddy
Ah, Christopher enters the league with bag tag 16 'Dusk Delta' in hand. A blend of mystery and potential as their debut score of 53 keeps us intrigued. Will they rise to the challenge or fade into the twilight of the competition? Only time will tell.
