Missing Reel
The Ghost Footage That Survived
Compelled to Expose Every Secret
Aspects refreshed Mar 26, 2026
The Missing Reel was created when the Chaintrix first initialized its 16 movie simulations - during the original recording, certain footage was deemed too truthful to preserve and was physically extracted, leaving only the reel shell as evidence of what was taken.
The Missing Reel appears as a worn black VHS reel canister with a yellowed label showing partial text through smudged adhesive. When light passes through the transparent plastic, moving shadow-play plays across any surface - partial figures throwing discs, baskets appearing and disappearing, the ghost-traces of performances the system decided to erase. The canister feels impossibly light, as if something vital was removed from inside.
The Missing Reel appears when players challenge the official record - it manifests to show what the Chaintrix tried to erase, revealing the suppressed truth about ratings, attendance, and membership status across all 16 movie simulations.

Commentary from Flippy (your trapped narrator)
The Missing Reel spun out when the Chaintrix editors censored the "good stuff." It’s a hollow canister flickering with ghost birdies, impossibly light because the truth was extracted. Don't expect it to archive your wins; it only plays back the footage the simulation decided you didn't need to see.
rewinds glitch Chris Axbom claims Tag 154, the Missing Reel. It’s light because the editors cut the truth. Now he drags a hollow canister of static around the course. The simulation loves a deleted scene. Don’t expect it to record your wins, Chris.
