When the first VCR recorded the first simulation, the magnetic particles aligned to capture not just the image but the trace of everyone who threw - creating an eternal imprint in the oxide that grows stronger with each attendance, building toward a complete portrait of every player who ever competed across the Chaintrix.
The Tracking Imprint manifests as a shimmering double-exposure overlaid on all Chaintrix footage - a slightly offset, translucent copy of every player that grows more solid with repeated attendance. It appears as horizontal streak patterns that follow the subject like persistent tracking errors. The imprint cannot be erased, only overwritten with stronger impressions from subsequent appearances. It changes color based on membership tier: glowing gold for Elite members, midnight blue for Preferred, and flickering gray static for those facing Account Suspension.
The Tracking Imprint serves as the Chaintrix's permanent witness - it records every attendance and produces the ghostly overlay that appears during playback, proving presence cannot be fully hidden. It makes consistent attendance literally luminous within the recording, while absences create visible gaps in the magnetic substrate that accumulate as degradation.

Forged in the first VCR’s magnetic tantrum, Tag #126 is the Tracking Imprint. It’s a shimmering double-exposure that remembers every throw—and every week you ghosted the league. It glows gold for Elites and static gray for the suspended. It’s not just a tag; it’s a petty archive judging your attendance history.
tracking error Mike Eakett finds Tag #126, the Tracking Imprint. It’s already magnetizing his first appearance into the archive. Keep showing up or that gold glow degrades to static. The simulation is logging your data, Mike. Try not to get deleted.
