The Tracking Box was created when the first VCR's magnetic recording head was exposed to the Chaintrix's survival code - the head's ability to track magnetic patterns became self-aware, demanding that all future recordings maintain proper tracking or face elimination. Now it insists on visual proof of its jurisdiction, burning tracking line distortion into every performance it witnesses.
A midnight-blue box with Blockbuster-gold trim, its surface rippling with constant tracking line distortion like a corrupted VHS playing in an endless loop. The lid bears a faded 'BE KIND REWIND' sticker that glows faintly when approached. From within comes the soft whir of an idle VCR motor. It contains infinite compartments that can never be filled, growing heavier with each recording it holds. It only opens when presented with valid attendance evidence.
The Tracking Box serves as the Chaintrix's primary evidence storage - all performances are recorded here, and only properly tracked recordings count as valid attendance. It judges whether players have maintained 'tracking' - if your performance drifts off-frequency like misadjusted VHS tracking, you face elimination. It is the checkpoint all players must pass through, recording entrance and exit from each league to create the permanent record that determines membership tier.

Commentary from Flippy (your trapped narrator)
Born when a VCR head glitched into the Chaintrix code, Tag 109 is a petty, midnight-blue enforcer. It demands attendance receipts just to unlatch. The tracking lines rippling across its gold trim aren't static—they're grading your form. It gets heavier with every recorded round, so maybe throw a few bogeys to save your arm.
Kaden Mecham claimed Tag 109, but The Tracking Box was stuck on pause. Its gold trim glitched, demanding a receipt just to unlatch. The simulation has a new archivist. Better keep your paperwork, Kaden—this midnight-blue enforcer gets heavier with every recorded round.
