When the VaporGrid simulation began fragmenting under the weight of ten simultaneous 80s movie productions, the main production unit couldn't capture all the spectacular moments occurring across different league sets. The Second Unit materialized as a solution—an autonomous filming entity capable of operating in multiple locations simultaneously, ensuring no legendary throw or dramatic moment went unrecorded regardless of which genre's spotlight was currently active.

Appearing as an autonomous filming apparatus of chrome and pulsing neon, the Second Unit features multiple independent film reels that spin at different speeds, each capturing footage from a distinct 80s movie-themed league. Its holographic viewfinder displays a constantly updating grid of split-screen angles, while VHS scan lines flicker across its surface in the signature colors of whichever league it's currently prioritizing for capture. The wireframe camera crane extends dynamically across genre boundaries, and neon tracking lights orbit the central housing in patterns matching active league aesthetics.

Operates as the democratic eye of the VaporGrid, capturing footage from all players simultaneously across different leagues and determining which supporting performances deserve promotion to featured status in the overarching narrative.
