How Bag Tags Work in Our League 🥏
Bag tags are a fun way to track player rankings and add a competitive edge to our disc golf league. Here's how they work:
- 🏷️ Tag Assignment: Each player is assigned a unique bag tag with a number and custom artwork. Lower numbers are better!
- 🎯 Up for Grabs: In each league event, all participating players' bag tags are "up for grabs."
- 📊 Ranking by Performance: After the event, bag tags are redistributed based on players' scores. The best-performing player gets the lowest-numbered tag, and so on.
- 🔄 Tag Exchanges: If you outperform a player with a lower-numbered tag, you'll exchange tags with them.
- 🛡️ Defending Your Tag: If you perform well enough to keep your current tag number or better, you've successfully "defended" your tag.
- ⏳ Inactive Tags: If you miss two league events in a row, you forfeit your tag.
- 🆕 New Players: Newcomers receive their tag at the end of the list after their first event.
🏆 Tiebreaker Rules:
In case of ties, we use the following criteria to determine tag distribution:
- Number of league events played in the current league (more is better)
- Average score across all events played in the current league (lower is better)
- PDGA number (lower is better)
🏁 End of Season: At the end of the season, your final bag tag will be permanently displayed on your ElevateUT Disc Golf Leagues account as a testament to your performance.
Remember, bag tags are all about friendly competition and bragging rights. Good luck, and may the best player earn the #1 tag! 🥇
Dragonstone Ember's Current Holder
Tag History
HAR! Gather 'round, you southern softies, and hear the tale of how Dragonstone Ember found its newest bearer! Through the season's first snow, Chris carved through Creekside like a ranger of old, notching a mighty -3 that would make the First Men proud!
The winds whispered their secrets to this one, aye. While others stumbled in the frost averaging mere par golf, our warrior blazed three strokes better, though the rating gods deemed it a touch below their usual fire at 903.
Tag Twenty-Eight, that crimson beast born of Valyrian plastic, seems to have found a worthy temporary home. But mark my words - I've seen that gleam in Chris's eye before. The same look my people get before scaling the Wall! This is but a first step in a longer journey.
takes long drink from horn
The North remembers, and winter is still young. Next week brings new challenges, new chances to climb higher in our noble ranks. For now, let us raise our horns to Chris - may your drives fly true and your putts strike with the fury of the old gods!
🔥 Tag #28 "Dragonstone Ember" has chosen its newest champion! Nicholas Reynolds emerged from today's frosty battle at -1, outshining the field average like a beacon through winter's veil. The tag's journey from Sarah "Ice Queen" Johnson continues with style - that personal best round hitting harder than a frozen destroyer into a headwind! The Northern Links have spoken: this rookie ranger's got more heat than a dragon's sneeze. Who'll dare challenge next week? 🎯❄️ #DiscGolfDragon
🔥 Behold, Tag #28 "Dragonstone Ember" emerges from the northern mists! Like its namesake, this crimson warrior has already sparked chaos at Creekside, changing hands twice in its first week. Current keeper Sarah "Ice Queen" Johnson (-2 today) claimed it with a clutch 40-foot putt through howling winds that would've made a direwolf whimper. The tag's getting spicier than ghost pepper putters - who dares to challenge the throne? Winter is coming... and so are more birdies! 🎯❄️
