How Bag Tags Work in Our League 🥏
Bag tags are a fun way to track player rankings and add a competitive edge to our disc golf league. Here's how they work:
- 🏷️ Tag Assignment: Each player is assigned a unique bag tag with a number and custom artwork. Lower numbers are better!
- 🎯 Up for Grabs: In each league event, all participating players' bag tags are "up for grabs."
- 📊 Ranking by Performance: After the event, bag tags are redistributed based on players' scores. The best-performing player gets the lowest-numbered tag, and so on.
- 🔄 Tag Exchanges: If you outperform a player with a lower-numbered tag, you'll exchange tags with them.
- 🛡️ Defending Your Tag: If you perform well enough to keep your current tag number or better, you've successfully "defended" your tag.
- ⏳ Inactive Tags: If you miss two league events in a row, you forfeit your tag.
- 🆕 New Players: Newcomers receive their tag at the end of the list after their first event.
🏆 Tiebreaker Rules:
In case of ties, we use the following criteria to determine tag distribution:
- Number of league events played in the current league (more is better)
- Average score across all events played in the current league (lower is better)
- PDGA number (lower is better)
🏁 End of Season: At the end of the season, your final bag tag will be permanently displayed on your ElevateUT Disc Golf Leagues account as a testament to your performance.
Remember, bag tags are all about friendly competition and bragging rights. Good luck, and may the best player earn the #1 tag! 🥇
Nightwatch Guardian's Current Holder
Tag History
HAR! Gather 'round, you southern softies, and hear how the Nightwatch Guardian found its latest keeper in young Luke! slaps knee heartily
On a day when the first snows kissed Creekside's ground, the lad fought the elements to an even draw - no small feat when the winds whisper secrets from beyond the Wall. That 863-rated showing might not have the old gods writing sagas, but it's honest work, like manning the less glamorous posts along the Wall itself.
takes long drink from horn
You should've seen him bounce back four times like a proper ranger - especially that eighth hole birdie that had even the ravens nodding in approval! Ten ratings points above his usual mark shows there's wildling blood in those veins, mark my words.
The Nightwatch Guardian may not be the most celebrated tag in our realm, but like Castle Black itself, it's a solid foundation for greater glory. Besides, better to hold the nineteenth post with honor than to flee from the first!
Winter is coming, friends... but for now, let's raise a horn to Luke, our newest guardian of the middle realm! HAR!

Wonder what challenges next week's winds will bring...
The Nightwatch Guardian #19 finds a worthy (if temporary) keeper! EJ channeled their inner Jon Snow, slaying a -4 round like White Walkers in summer. While this tag may be the disc golf equivalent of latrine duty at Castle Black, that +44 rating bump suggests our hero won't be defending the realm's least-wanted post for long. Like many great rangers before them, everyone starts somewhere - even if it's scrubbing ice off practice baskets! Winter is coming... but next week's tag challenge awaits! 🐺❄️
The Nightwatch Guardian #19 has chosen its first bearer! Despite the grey skies looming over Creekside, Hyrum stepped up like a fresh recruit at Castle Black, posting a valiant +4. While the field average may have been kinder at +0.5, our new guardian showed true Northern grit with those clutch bounce-backs! That birdie on 18? Pure Valyrian steel energy! 🐺
Tag #19 may be testing its new keeper, but remember - every Lord Commander started as a recruit. The Watch continues next week... and winter is always coming! ⛓️❄️
"Nightwatch Guardian #19 emerges from the winter mist at Creekside Park, its matte black surface gleaming like Valyrian steel. This tag demands a steady hand and stoic resolve - much like the ancient order it's named for. Will its first bearer prove worthy of the Watch, or fall victim to the treacherous winds beyond the wall? The North remembers every throw, and winter is coming to test the next keeper of this coveted badge. 🎯❄️"
