Origin Story

The last druid of the Pictish tribes who first documented Loch Ness's strange phenomena underwent an eternal ritual to become a guardian when Roman invaders threatened to expose the loch's secrets, merging with the standing stones that dot the Highlands.

Properties

Manifests as semi-corporeal blue woad markings that animate standing stones and carvings. Can manipulate mist and shadows to conceal sacred sites, with whispers in old Pictish. Draws power from stone circles and can temporarily solidify near them.

Role

Acts as a living archive of forgotten protective rituals and guardian of ancient sites, appearing during grave danger to reinforce weakening barriers containing the evil beneath Loch Ness.
