How Bag Tags Work in Our League 🥏
Bag tags are a fun way to track player rankings and add a competitive edge to our disc golf league. Here's how they work:
- 🏷️ Tag Assignment: Each player is assigned a unique bag tag with a number and custom artwork. Lower numbers are better!
- 🎯 Up for Grabs: In each league event, all participating players' bag tags are "up for grabs."
- 📊 Ranking by Performance: After the event, bag tags are redistributed based on players' scores. The best-performing player gets the lowest-numbered tag, and so on.
- 🔄 Tag Exchanges: If you outperform a player with a lower-numbered tag, you'll exchange tags with them.
- 🛡️ Defending Your Tag: If you perform well enough to keep your current tag number or better, you've successfully "defended" your tag.
- ⏳ Inactive Tags: If you miss two league events in a row, you forfeit your tag.
- 🆕 New Players: Newcomers receive their tag at the end of the list after their first event.
🏆 Tiebreaker Rules:
In case of ties, we use the following criteria to determine tag distribution:
- Number of league events played in the current league (more is better)
- Average score across all events played in the current league (lower is better)
- PDGA number (lower is better)
🏁 End of Season: At the end of the season, your final bag tag will be permanently displayed on your ElevateUT Disc Golf Leagues account as a testament to your performance.
Remember, bag tags are all about friendly competition and bragging rights. Good luck, and may the best player earn the #1 tag! 🥇
Platinum Geode's Current Holder
Tag History
Echoes of pickaxe strikes ring through crystalline chambers
Hark, fellow prospectors! Old Gold-Eye's got fresh findings from the frostbitten fairways! That Platinum Geode, Tag #8, has shifted hands again, finding itself in Dan's collection after a peculiar excavation in the season's first snow.
Holds crystal up to golden eye, squinting
Would you look at that cloudy formation! A 739-rated round might seem like fool's gold to some, but I've seen enough geodes to know - sometimes the most unassuming specimens hold surprising value! Dan's +11 may be a rough cut, but those six recovery shots? Pure crystalline resilience!
Taps cave wall rhythmically
Listen close - the crystal song's got a steady beat to it. Five straight top-4 finishes? That's no random pattern, that's a vein worth following! Sure, the Platinum Geode ain't the motherlode, but in these treacherous winter conditions, it's a right respectable claim to stake.
Whispers conspiratorially
Mark my words, there's richer deposits ahead if Dan keeps mining these lines. The snow's just the first test - winter's trials have only begun!
Cackling fades into cave depths
🌟 Tag #8 'Platinum Geode' has found its newest prospector in Corey, who struck gold with an 831-rated excavation at Bingham Creek! Like a master miner, they dug deep after early bogeys, unearthing a sparkling streak of birdies on 15-16. That +3 finish gleams brighter than the field average - talk about premium ore! Will this geode reveal even more treasures in next week's tag chase? The saga of this crystalline competitor continues... ⛏️✨ #DiscGolfGems
