Origin Story

Once a scholar of Southeast Asian mythology, this individual discovered ancient texts describing the Aswang's connection to blood magic and its similarities to the Chupacabra. Through dark rituals combining Aswang transformation techniques with Aztec blood magic, they became a powerful hybrid entity serving the Blood Moon Acolytes. Their successful transformation proved the universal nature of blood magic and earned them a position as Xibalba's herald.

Properties

Possesses the Aswang's ability to shape-shift and detect the presence of blood over vast distances, combined with mastery of Aztec blood magic rituals. Can separate their upper body from their lower half during blood moon phases, allowing aerial surveillance and swift delivery of messages across Chupacabra territory. Weakened by salt and certain protective wards, but draws immense power from performing blood sacrifices.

Role

Serves as Xibalba's elite messenger and enforcer, delivering prophecies and commanding lesser acolytes while gathering intelligence about potential threats to the cult. Responsible for identifying suitable sacrificial victims and coordinating ritual preparations across multiple temple sites.
