Hollow Card

The Hollow Card emerged from the Bureau's classified Project Mirrorface - an operation that issued credentials to agents whose true competitive histories were too sensitive to maintain in any database. When the project was abruptly terminated, these hollow credentials remained in circulation, indistinguishable from genuine Bureau identification but containing absolutely nothing behind their polished surfaces. Now they drift through the Containment Zone like ghosts of operations that never happened.

The Hollow Card appears identical to standard Bureau credentials - same manila coloring, same barcode format, same clearance level indicators - creating perfect camouflage within the system. However, when players attempt to access its embedded data, they discover only empty digital space: no encryption patterns, no competitive history, no classification tier. The card feels unnervingly lightweight, as if it weighs nothing at all, and its edges are impossibly smooth where other credentials show the wear of handling. Bureau sensors register the card as valid but return only synthetic zeros where real data should exist.

The Hollow Card marks its holder as a permanent unknown within the Containment Zone - their victories cannot be verified, their losses cannot be properly recorded, and their true skill level exists only in speculation. Other players viewing a Hollow Card holder cannot determine if they're facing a dangerous unknown who's manipulated their records into invisibility, a genuine newcomer with no history, or an operative executing a Bureau operation that even the Agency hasn't acknowledged.
