How Bag Tags Work in Our League 🥏

Bag tags are a fun way to track player rankings and add a competitive edge to our disc golf league. Here's how they work:

  1. 🏷️ Tag Assignment: Each player is assigned a unique bag tag with a number and custom artwork. Lower numbers are better!
  2. 🎯 Up for Grabs: In each league event, all participating players' bag tags are "up for grabs."
  3. 📊 Ranking by Performance: After the event, bag tags are redistributed based on players' scores. The best-performing player gets the lowest-numbered tag, and so on.
  4. 🔄 Tag Exchanges: If you outperform a player with a lower-numbered tag, you'll exchange tags with them.
  5. 🛡️ Defending Your Tag: If you perform well enough to keep your current tag number or better, you've successfully "defended" your tag.
  6. Inactive Tags: If you miss two league events in a row, you forfeit your tag.
  7. 🆕 New Players: Newcomers receive their tag at the end of the list after their first event.
🏆 Tiebreaker Rules:

In case of ties, we use the following criteria to determine tag distribution:

  1. Number of league events played in the current league (more is better)
  2. Average score across all events played in the current league (lower is better)
  3. PDGA number (lower is better)

🏁 End of Season: At the end of the season, your final bag tag will be permanently displayed on your ElevateUT Disc Golf Leagues account as a testament to your performance.

Remember, bag tags are all about friendly competition and bragging rights. Good luck, and may the best player earn the #1 tag! 🥇

Isaac Robertson Week 10 Score: 6 place with a 60
Celestial Swirl

Bag Tag 26 'Celestial Swirl' has found a new home with Isaac, who managed a +1 score, edging out the field's 2.4 average. Isaac's consistent play keeps them orbiting close to their league average. With the series finale upon us, this tag may not be a shooting star, but Isaac's steady hand could turn it into a cosmic gem. This tag might not be celestial royalty, but with Isaac's reliability, there's hope for a meteoric rise in future leagues. Good luck, Isaac!

C
Cole Leesnitzer Week 7 Score: 4 place with a 63
Celestial Swirl

Bag Tag 26 'Celestial Swirl' takes a not-so-celestial tumble into Cole's hands with a +7 score, worse than the field's 4.8 average. Seems like this tag is more like a black hole than a shining star right now. Cole's consistent play keeps them close to their average, but will they rise like a phoenix or crash like a meteor? With the league's end in sight, there's still time for a cosmic comeback or a stellar collapse. Stay tuned to see if Cole can turn this celestial calamity into a heavenly victory next week!

Eric VanDerEems
Eric VanDerEems Week 5 Score: 4 place with a 63

Ah, the 'Celestial Swirl' tag dances into Eric's grasp amidst a smoky soirée at the River Bottoms. With a score of 63, Eric's performance may not have been stellar, but hey, we all have our off days. Will he rise like a Phoenix from the ashes, or will this tag exchange be a cosmic calamity? As we hit the league's midpoint, the drama thickens like smoke in the air. Stay tuned, folks, the celestial drama of tag 26 continues!

Brody Eliason
Brody Eliason Week 3 Score: 3 place with a 61

Ah, Brody enters the scene with a celestial swirl at tag 26! Let's hope their score of 61 is a mere opening act to a star-studded performance in our league. With no prior history, will they rise like a shooting star or fizzle out like a damp squib? Only time will tell. Welcome to the show, Brody. Let's see if you can shine brighter than the average in this pool!
