Blind Spot

The Blind Spot emerged from a catastrophic Bureau database crash in the early years of the Containment Zone - when the original surveillance architecture failed, certain player records fell into the gaps between backup systems. These records were never recovered, creating a permanent shadow archive of competitors the Bureau can no longer fully monitor. The Bureau officially claims these records were 'archived for security purposes,' but internal memos (leaked through unknown channels) suggest the data simply... vanished.

Players carrying Blind Spot designation cannot be fully photographed or captured by standard Bureau surveillance systems - their images appear as unstable, developing photographs that never fully resolve. Their records create static interference in nearby surveillance, making adjacent players' documentation unreliable. Timestamps on Blind Spot files are inconsistent, showing dates that don't align with standard chronology. Most significantly, Blind Spot records are invisible to the Bureau's Pattern Recognition algorithms - they exist in the gaps between detected behavior patterns.

Blind Spot holders exist in surveillance gaps where their true competitive history is partially invisible to the Bureau and other players. This creates persistent paranoia: are they hiding significant competitive advantages, or are they simply victims of system failures? Their performance cannot be fully tracked, their attendance cannot be fully verified, and their true skill level remains partially speculative - making them dangerous unknowns in a world where the scorecard is the only evidence that matters.
