They Know Things About You
Aspects refreshed Jul 01, 2026
The Deep Archive was created in the early days of the Containment Zone when the Bureau realized they needed a place to store records that were too controversial to keep in standard files but too important to destroy. It exists in the lowest level of the Bureau's digital infrastructure, accessible only to those with Level 5 clearance or higher. Some whisper that it contains files on players who never officially existed.
The Deep Archive manifests as an endless library of black folders with no labels, existing in a perpetual state of twilight. The air smells of old paper and static electricity. It operates on 'Whispered Access' - requiring special clearance to even know it exists. Records are stored on a 'Frozen Timeline' - archived at the moment of their most significant classification, preserving the exact state of a player's history at their most pivotal moment. The 'Echoing Records' within contain information about players who no longer compete, creating ghosts in the system.
The Deep Archive provides hidden advantages to those with sufficient clearance, allowing them to access competitor information that isn't available through standard channels. This creates a persistent information asymmetry that drives conspiracy and paranoia throughout the Containment Zone. Players whose records reside here are recognized as significant figures in its history.
